Assignment 1: Unity Essentials
This week you will begin working with the Unity game engine. This tool is extremely powerful and user friendly. Follow the tutorials listed below to get started.
Part 1: Foundations
- Signup for a Unity account and request a free Pro license. Apply for the Unity Student plan here.
- Once you are able to log into your account, access the Unity Essentials learning pathway and work through the first mission titled "Get Started with Unity". Look for the projects "Start creating" and "Start learning". This will give you a basic understanding of how to install and use Unity Hub, how to install Unity, how to run sample projects, how to use the Unity editor, and how to install packages. Once you feel a little comfortable with the editor you are ready to work on part 2.
Part 2: Roll-a-Ball
Work through and complete the Roll-a-Ball tutorial project. This will take about 2-3 hrs to complete.
